Matlab 2012a For Windows 7

I am trying to install Matlab 2012a (64-bit) in Ubuntu 12.04LTS (64-bit). I have installed Java 7. My Java version is. MATLAB (matrix laboratory) is a numerical computing environment and fourth-generation programming language. Developed by MathWorks, MATLAB allows matrix manipulations, plotting of functions and data, implementation of algorithms, creation of user interfaces, and interfacing with programs written in other languages, including C, C, Java, and Fortran.

An user has reported the following problem under Matlab 2012A and Windows 10 64Bit:

After typing
cd C:Users[..]minepy-1.0.0matlab
mex mine_mex.c ./libmine/mine.c

It processes for a few seconds, then the error message I get is:

LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'mine_mex.mexw64'
C:PROGRA~1MATLABR2012ABINMEX.PL: Error: Link of 'mine_mex.mexw64' failed.
